This is a quick reminder to plan ahead and allow extra travel time this Wednesday, December 11th for Gridlock Day. According to the Department of Transportation (DOT) this is one of several Gridlock days that will take place throughout the holiday season when heavy traffic is expected in Manhattan.
On these Gridlock Alert days, lane closings may also occur due to circumstances beyond DOT's control. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather, security alerts, and other emergencies
